Central Nebraska FCU Privacy Policy
At Central Nebraska Federal Credit Union we value your membership and we are committed to protecting the personal privacy of all of our members. We want you to have the best possible web site browsing experience. The security of knowing that any information you give us is private is very important to us. We make it a priority to provide privacy both on our web site and in our business office.
When you visit any web site, your "IP address" is recorded. We may collect IP addresses for the sole purpose of tracking information and to compile statistics to help us improve the site so that its users will find it more helpful and informative. The information is used solely for these analytical purposes and is discarded after use. IP address information is not distributed to third parties. Encryption is used to protect sensitive information online. While on a secure page, such as WebPB, the lock icon on the bottom of the web browsers, such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer, becomes locked as opposed to unlocked. Our offline member information(account information, loan information etc.) is also secure in that it is restricted to Credit Union personnel only. All staff and officials are required to sign an agreement annually regarding confidentiality.
Central Nebraska Federal Credit Union collects and retains member information only when it is necessary for normal business operations. None of this information is given or sold for marketing purposes outside of the Credit Union operations. We do not share the nonpublic personal information of our current or previous members and nonmember customers with affiliates or non affiliated third parties except as permitted on required by law.
We will share specific information about our member accounts and/or other personally identifiable information with third parties only under the following circumstances:
- To verify the existence or status of an account for a third party, such as a credit bureau or merchant.
- To provide goods, products or services which may be requested or beneficial to our members.
- To complete financial transactions or transfers.
- To protect Central Nebraska Federal Credit Union.
- To comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- To protect Central Nebraska Federal Credit Union from fraud.
- As requested by members.
To provide you with greater access to information, the Central Nebraska Federal Credit Union site also contains links to other sites. While we hope these organizations join us in respecting your privacy, we cannot be responsible for the content or privacy practices of these other web sites.
So that we can provide additional services to our members, we may share information with third parties that work for us, such as check-printing and data processing companies. These companies are obligated to keep this information confidential.
